MY UNICORN
My Unicorn has a lavender body,
Dark shiny purple mane and tail,
Her horn is pure white ivory,
With the palest blue eyes.
She walks with the grace of a Ballerina,
Her head held proud never low,
Her back straight and strong,
Her legs swift and lean.
She’s my best friend,
And never leaves my side.
I can tell her my troubles,
I can tell her my joys.
She will keep all my secrets.
She will keep me from harm,
Entertain me for hours,
Walk with me through my trails,
Run with me for fun.
She is my soul, my heart, my dreams.
She is the better half of me.
DREAMS
When we were young
and full of dreams,
of what we wanted;
to do and be.
Then life came along
and our dreams faded.
If we are lucky enough,
we can stop and say,
I want my dreams back
and start again.
My advice to you,
never give up your dream.
All we have are our dreams.
No matter what Try for One,
I did before it was too late,
to live my dream
from a long ago day.
SPRING
The snow is melting,
The buds are breaking out.
The sun is shinning,
Bringing heat into the air.
Winter clothes are being stored,
Spring clothes are being washed.
Soon to be hung and wore.
Windows are opening,
Cleaning for the new season,
Heating blankets and comforters packed,
Clean sheets freshly washed and dried,
Spring blankets put out.
Yes, spring is here.
Rain is back.
No snow, no coats,
No sweaters or slacks.
Fresh air, blossoms blooming,
Scented air and clear skies.
Welcome spring - good-bye winter!
